Sony has officially announced the PS5 Pro, priced at $699.99, but it won’t include a disc drive.

If you want to play physical games, you’ll need to purchase a separate disc drive for an additional $79.99, bringing the total cost to $779.98. The PS5 Pro offers a larger GPU and enhanced ray tracing, but remains a disc-less console by default. This approach isn’t new for Sony, as it introduced the separate disc drive with the PS5 Slim.

The PS5 Pro will launch on November 7th, with preorders starting on September 26th.
