Apple halts online sales of Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 amid ongoing patent dispute

Apple has officially suspended online sales of its flagship Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 due to an ongoing patent dispute with health tech company Masimo.

This decision led to the "Currently Unavailable" status on the Apple online store, replacing the usual "Buy" button. While the entry-level Apple Watch SE remains available, customers seeking the Series 9 can still explore alternative online sources, including Amazon, which promises pre-Christmas delivery in select areas.

Despite this setback, brick-and-mortar Apple Store locations will continue to offer the Series 9 until Christmas Eve, including in-store pickups for online orders through December 24.
