Unitree is preparing to expand its humanoid robot R1 to international markets, according to Wired.
The publication reports that the humanoid robot is priced at $4,370 on AliExpress. The robot can run at high speeds, jump, perform martial arts moves, and even dance — although, as Wired notes, “the question of what you'd actually do with it remains open.”
Preorders for the R1 are now available in Europe, the United States, Japan, and several other regions. Selling consumer electronics through large online marketplaces is seen as a key step toward “democratizing” robotics, allowing anyone to purchase advanced hardware with a single click, Wired writes.
Unitree first introduced the R1 robot in July 2025. The humanoid stands 123 cm tall and weighs under 30 kg. The R1 is equipped with multimodal AI capable of recognizing both voice and visual input.
