In a recent X post, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed plans for a modification package that would allow the Cybertruck to function as a boat, capable of traversing at least 100m of water.

Musk's announcement comes in response to a post by X user Sawyer Merritt, who shared a video from "Jay Leno's Garage" featuring Tesla's vice president of vehicle engineering, Lars Moravy. Moravy explained that with a few modifications, the Cybertruck could be adapted into a functional boat, highlighting its potential buoyancy.

The mod package is expected to focus on upgrading cabin door seals to enhance water resistance.

While the Cybertruck has faced some challenges, including a recent incident scaling a snow hill, Musk's innovative approach aims to extend the vehicle's capabilities beyond traditional off-road scenarios.
