While users can submit removal requests, YouTube will carefully assess each case, considering factors like satire and the recognition of public figures. Musicians and their representatives will also have the option to request the removal of content that imitates their voice.

Deepfake content has become a concerning trend. To combat this, YouTube is not only enabling removal requests but also implementing clear labeling for altered or synthetic content.

Creators will be required to disclose such content, with penalties for non-compliance. This labeling initiative will inform viewers when content is "altered or synthetic," offering them the option to learn more about its nature.
