Apple is gearing up for a series of product launches featuring OLED displays in the coming years.

According to analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Technology Research, the lineup includes the launch of iPad Pro models with OLED displays, followed by MacBook Pro models and eventually MacBook Airs equipped with OLED screens.

The journey begins with the eagerly anticipated next-generation 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models set to launch in 2024, boasting the advantages of OLED technology. Apple has ambitious plans to ship 10 million units in the first year, promising users increased brightness, higher contrast ratios, deeper blacks, improved power efficiency, and longer battery life compared to their LCD-based counterparts.

Moving forward, Apple's focus will shift to its MacBook lineup. Pu's analysis aligns with previous predictions, suggesting that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will receive OLED screen upgrades in 2026. This transition is expected to deliver enhanced display quality and performance to MacBook Pro users.

Apple is also actively working on bringing OLED technology to the MacBook Air, although the release of the OLED MacBook Pro should precede that.

Reports indicate that Samsung Display is playing a pivotal role in developing a 13.3-inch OLED panel for a future MacBook Air, underscoring Apple's commitment to adopting OLED displays across its product ecosystem.
