Duolingo, the popular language learning app, has officially announced its upcoming offering, Duolingo Music.

This new product, set to launch soon, will be part of a larger "multi-subject experience" app, combining language lessons, math, and music education all in one.

While Duolingo had been hinting at its music app development for some time, this announcement confirms the company's intention to provide music education as part of its services. Duolingo Music will feature hundreds of lessons and over 200 "fun and familiar tunes," offering users a diverse learning experience.

The decision to include music education was partly influenced by the lack of access to music learning in the U.S., with more than 3.6 million students lacking access to music education. Additionally, studies have shown that learning music can enhance various skills, including reading, verbal, listening, and math.

Duolingo has previously expanded its offerings beyond language learning, including launching an English literacy app for kids Duolingo ABC and introducing Duolingo Math. The company will provide a more in-depth look at its new multi-subject learning app, including Duolingo Music, during the Duocon conference on October 11.
