WhatsApp, one of the world's most popular messaging platforms, is testing a new app for Wear OS, according to reports.
The app will be tested on Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch 5, as well as other devices, and includes a simple list of recent contacts and an option to open conversations on your phone. Users can then scroll through past messages and record voice messages or use the system keyboard to reply.
The app also includes a complication that displays the number of unread messages, as well as two tiles for "WhatsApp contacts" and "WhatsApp voice message," making it easier to access frequently used features.
