This year, we are starting to gain more clarity on the potential new features that may be incorporated into iOS 17.

According to a recent post on Weibo by a previously reliable source, iOS 17 will feature modifications to the iPhone Lock Screen, as well as new enhancements for Apple Music and more. The source who revealed the yellow iPhone 14 before its official release is the same one behind this latest iOS 17 leak, giving it some level of credibility. However, considering the source's limited history of software leaks, it's essential to approach this leak with a bit of skepticism.

The leak suggests that iOS 17 will have several changes to the iPhone Lock Screen, user interface updates for Apple Music, and additional features. Among the changes are updates to the Control Center UI, the ability to view Apple Music lyrics directly on the Lock Screen, support for sharing custom Lock Screen designs, and more customization options for fonts, emoji wallpapers, and "other functions." Additionally, there will be "step-less" adjustment for flashlight brightness, allowing for more precise control.

These iOS 17 rumors complement prior leaks from sources like Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, which suggested that iOS 17 will feature side-loading app support (limited to the European Union), changes to the Wallet and Find My apps, and the introduction of a new journaling app. Apple will officially announce iOS 17 at WWDC 2023, which begins on June 5, less than two months from now.
