Topics to Appear in Telegram Chats

Telegram is preparing a new feature for public chats - topics. The information comes from the beta version of Telegram's Android client, Telegram Info reports.

At the moment, the Topics feature only works on Telegram's test server. The feature introduces an opportunity to create additional chats within a single one.

With this feature, chat members can create separate "rooms" of interest within the larger chat.

All topics will be available to chat participants as a list (check the image above).

At the moment we know that topics are only available in groups with more than 200 participants. The chat does not have to be linked to a channel. Its administrators will be able to close and open topics at any time.

It will be possible to choose an emoji as the image of a topic, and if Telegram Premium is available, a custom emoji can be used.
