TikTok is testing 'Tako,' an in-app AI chatbot

Tako appears on the right-hand side of the TikTok interface, above the user's profile and other interactive buttons. Tapping on Tako users may ask questions about specific videos or seeking recommendations based on their interests.

The AI chatbot is currently undergoing limited testing in select markets, and its functionality is expected to expand. It has been developed with a focus on enhancing the search and discovery capabilities within TikTok, providing users with an alternative way to find content beyond traditional search methods.
