Russian developer Ramzan Shakhbiyev (@ramcode) has created a Telegram bot that replaces the Tesla branded mobile app and allows you to control the electric car via messenger. This was reported to Durov's Code by the creator himself.

According to Ramzan, he decided to launch a bot when he was looking for vulnerabilities in the Tesla official app. He discovered that the OAuth 2.0 protocol is used for authorization on the Tesla website and mobile applications.

Thanks to this discovery, Ramzan managed to log in through the bot, get all the necessary tokens and collect all the API methods. That is, the bot directly sends signals to the Tesla servers in the same way that the original application does.

In particular, the bot allows you to control climate control, charging and media system, update software, as well as open trunks, honk, blink headlights and much more. In addition, through the bot, you can find out the current charge level with a power reserve and the current geolocation of the electric car.

The developer clarified that he initially made the bot only for himself, however, if other Tesla owners, if interested, can ask him to make a separate bot for them.
