The number of traffic cameras on UAE roads approached 3,400. According to Urbi geo-service, as of August 2023, there are 3,396 cameras on the roads of the UAE, which record various violations.

The vast majority of cameras (78%) monitor compliance with the speed limit, and another 18% deal with the passage to the authorized traffic light signal. The most common speed limit in the UAE, according to Urbi, is 80 km/h. The total length of roads in the country is now 32.4 thousand kilometers.
