Microsoft has unveiled Copilot Search, its own AI-powered search engine integrated into Bing — a move aimed at replacing traditional search with a more intelligent, conversational experience.
Built on artificial intelligence, Copilot Search understands natural language and engages users in a dialogue similar to a chatbot. Unlike the earlier Copilot Answers feature, this tool comes with its own interface, resembling the layout of Copilot and ChatGPT.
Users can ask casual questions — like “What’s 57 degrees Fahrenheit in Celsius?” — and get not just the answer, but a full explanation. The system remembers previous queries, offering more accurate and context-aware responses. That makes it particularly useful for complex or layered search tasks.
Copilot Search arrives as Microsoft’s response to growing competition in the AI search space — with Google pushing Gemini 2.0, OpenAI experimenting with SearchGPT, and other tech giants racing to redefine online search.
