Microsoft has officially ended support for Windows 10. The release of all updates for the operating system has now been fully discontinued, the company announced in its official blog.

Users will no longer receive any new features, and the rollout of critical security fixes has also come to an end. This significantly increases the risk for all devices still running Windows 10, as cybercriminals may target unpatched vulnerabilities within the system.

The company strongly recommends upgrading to Windows 11. The current operating system continues to receive all essential updates, security patches, and performance improvements on a regular basis.

Windows 10 was released in 2015 and became popular for its broad compatibility across a wide range of devices, from PCs and laptops to tablets and smartphones. According to Kaspersky Lab, as of September 2025, half of all users and nearly 60 percent of corporate clients are still using Windows 10.
