New images have surfaced showing possible designs for future Apple smartphones, including another foldable iPhone and a model that could mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.

Leaker Majin Bu shared preliminary CAD drawings showing possible designs for both devices.

The foldable is drawing the most attention. Apple may be exploring several form factors for its foldable lineup, including the wider design associated with the upcoming iPhone Ultra and a taller, narrower version.

The proportions of the latter would be closer to Samsung’s earlier Galaxy Z Fold models.

“Here is what the anniversary iPhone and the foldable model might look like next year; it appears that Apple is not just pursuing a wide format but is also exploring a tall, narrow design—similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold models from the 2019–2026 period—unlike the new wide format adopted by Samsung,” Majin Bu said.

The drawings also show a possible 20th-anniversary iPhone, which Apple could introduce in 2027. The device features an elongated horizontal camera module with three cameras.

Reports of a major redesign for the anniversary iPhone have surfaced before. Previous leaks suggested Apple was working on models with a substantially redesigned glass body and a display that curves around the edges.

Apple may have scrapped its all-glass iPhone redesign
Apple has reportedly been developing a curved iPhone with glass wrapping smoothly around the front and back to create the appearance of a single continuous surface.

The new images should be treated with caution. Majin Bu describes them as preliminary CAD drawings and does not claim they represent confirmed Apple designs. At this stage, they offer a look at some of the directions the company may be considering.

“While it is impossible to say with certainty whether these preliminary CAD drawings are authentic or merely speculative, they point to a potential direction for Apple similar to Samsung's current approach with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 models (adopting a wider format) and the Z Fold 8 Ultra (utilizing the elongated format introduced in 2019). It is highly likely that Apple will pursue a similar strategy in the near future.”
