The company introduced its ambitious "AI for All" concept, aiming to democratize AI across various personal and commercial spaces.

Among the intriguing ideas presented was the concept of an "AI twin," designed to enhance personalized AI assistance.

While the notion of a company creating a virtual AI twin of an individual might sound disconcerting, Lenovo's approach is far from invasive. It serves as a highly personalized assistant with deep knowledge of the user, potentially even their business, enabling it to perform intelligent tasks on their behalf.

By collecting data from the user's personal device, it can anticipate the user's needs in advance and offer customized solutions. For example, during the demonstration, the AI twin easily created a detailed itinerary for a trip to Sweden, taking into account the user's preferences, such as specific airports, restaurants and entertainment.

Lenovo places a strong emphasis on data privacy. Dr. Yong Rui, Lenovo's Chief Technology Officer, assured attendees that the AI twin would only learn what the user permits, giving individuals greater control over their private data.

Lenovo demonstrated the AI twin's offline capabilities, showcasing its ability to function without an internet connection. This AI model can operate locally on the device, minimizing the need for cloud-based interactions, increasing privacy and reducing concerns about data disclosure.

The personal AI twin is still under development. The timeframe for its availability is not yet specified
