Intel has showcased a lightweight laptop concept powered by an unspecified six-core Wildcat Lake processor, reports Notebookcheck.

The presentation follows Intel’s quiet introduction of six new laptop chips. The Wildcat Lake lineup is described as a stripped-down version of Panther Lake, effectively “Panther Lake parts sans the ‘Ultra’ branding,” according to the report.

The chips are designed for thin and light laptops that do not require the full performance of Panther Lake-class processors.

“The laptop in question was an Intel reference design with an aluminium chassis and a keyboard that closely resembles a MacBook's. Under the hood, there’s a mysterious Intel CPU with two Cougar Cove P-cores and four Darkmont LPE-cores,” Notebookcheck noted.

The processor has a PL1 power rating of 17W (up to 22W) and a PL2 of 35W. Intel claims it can operate without active cooling.

Other specifications include a 17 TOPS NPU, a 2-core iGPU and 16GB of onboard memory.
