Could it be better than TurboTax?
If you haven't filed your taxes yet, MSCHF has an upcoming free dating simulator that may be of help. Tax Heaven 3000 is a "visual novel dating game that actually prepares your 2022 US federal tax return," according to the game's Steam page.
The game, narrated from the perspective of anime waifu Iris, seems to be a commentary on the complicated tax filing process in the US. However, Tax Heaven 3000 could make the process more enjoyable by turning it into a dating sim, where you answer a series of questions.
MSCHF notes that Tax Heaven 3000 is suitable only for single filers without dependents, and cautions users that if they prepare their taxes in the game, they should use their real financial information. The game only prepares federal taxes, so users still need to find a way to do their state taxes.
It's important to note that we haven't tried Tax Heaven 3000 and cannot guarantee its quality or ability to prepare your taxes. Use it at your own risk.
You can learn more about Tax Heaven 3000 on its Steam page and dedicated website. The collector's edition of the game, which includes a software box, disk, and Iris body pillow, will be available on April 4th, according to MSCHF co-founder Daniel Greenberg.
