Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the updated version of Siri will be released next year.

Speaking to CNBC, Cook said the company is on schedule and has made significant progress in development. The personalized Siri is set to debut in 2026 as part of iOS 26.4, which, according to MacRumors, is expected to roll out in March.

The redesigned assistant was first introduced at WWDC 2024, but its launch was postponed. The new Siri will feature enhanced contextual understanding, on-screen visual analysis, and improved in-app control. It will be able to locate relevant details in emails or messages to answer questions like flight times or booking confirmations.

Apple views the new Siri as a cornerstone of Apple Intelligence, the company’s suite of integrated AI features. However, the delay has already sparked class-action lawsuits from users who claim Siri’s promised upgrades were a key reason they purchased the iPhone 17.

Cook said Apple remains confident in its direction despite the delay and aims to deliver a product that meets the company’s high standards for quality and privacy.
