Amazon bans Flipper Zero portable multi-tool, calling it a 'card skimming device'

The compact and programmable device was initially designed to experiment with and debug various digital and hardware devices through various protocols like RFID, radio, NFC, infrared, Bluetooth, and others.

However, users have showcased the Flipper Zero's capabilities in unlocking cars and opening garage doors, cloning digital keys, and other functions that have raised concerns about its potential use in criminal activities.

Amazon's Seller Central portal categorizes card-skimming devices under the "Lock Picking & Theft Devices" restricted product category, alongside key duplicating and shoplifting devices. Amazon's ban on Flipper Zero means that sellers must remove all listings of the device or face account deactivation.

The Flipper Zero is still available on the manufacturer's official store but is no longer listed on Amazon's platform. It remains unclear whether Amazon's ban on Flipper Zero is temporary or permanent. Nonetheless, those wanting to purchase the device can still buy it directly from the manufacturer.
