Dane Stuckey, the former Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Palantir, has joined OpenAI to co-lead its security efforts alongside Matt Knight, OpenAI's head of security.

Stuckey announced the move via X, emphasizing the importance of meeting the highest standards for compliance, trust, and security to protect OpenAI's vast user base and support safe AI development.

Stuckey's experience at Palantir, known for its government contracts, may help advance OpenAI’s growing collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense. OpenAI has recently expanded its security initiatives, including appointing former NSA head Gen. Paul Nakasone to its board.
