Meta's newest social network, Threads, has initiated its own fact-checking program, transitioning away from relying solely on Instagram and Facebook's network for content verification.

Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, announced that Threads recently implemented the ability for fact-checkers to rate and identify false content on the platform. However, specific details regarding the rollout timeline and partner organizations remain undisclosed.

While it's unclear which organizations are partnering with Meta for fact-checking on Threads, the move appears to be geared towards preparing for the upcoming U.S. elections.
