Apple launches free Sports app for iPhone users

Apple has introduced a new app called Apple Sports for iPhone users, offering real-time scores, stats, and more. The app serves as a dedicated destination for users to stay updated on their favorite teams and leagues.

Available now for download in the US, UK, and Canada, Apple Sports covers a wide range of leagues including MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, Premier League, and more. Users can personalize their experience by following their favorite teams and leagues, syncing seamlessly with the 'My Sports' features in Apple News and the Apple TV app.

Currently, users can follow teams from MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball (men’s and women’s), NHL, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Premier League, and Serie A. Support for additional leagues such as MLB, NFL, NCAAF, NWSL, and WNBA will be added in time for their upcoming seasons.

Apple Sports offers comprehensive features including rich team stats, lineups, play-by-play information, live betting odds, and more, all conveniently accessible within the app. Users can also easily transition to watching live games through the Apple TV app or connected streaming apps via shortcut links provided in the app.
