OpenAI fights GPT-4 'laziness' with new updates

OpenAI has addressed user concerns about the GPT-4 model's "laziness" in completing tasks by rolling out updates for GPT-4 Turbo.

The latest iteration, designed to enhance code generation tasks, aims to mitigate instances where the model falls short of task completion. While specific details about the updates remain undisclosed, users have reported improvements in task responsiveness.

OpenAI highlighted that over 70% of API users have transitioned to GPT-4 Turbo due to its more recent knowledge base, sourced from data as recent as April 2023.

The company also hinted at upcoming enhancements, including the general availability of GPT-4 Turbo with vision, so users will be able to use more multimodal prompts like text-to-image generation.
