OpenAI has officially opened the doors to its GPT Store, introducing a platform where users can share their custom chatbots built with ChatGPT.

Despite the delays, the launch of the GPT Store opens up many potential uses for ChatGPT, extending the OpenAI ecosystem beyond its own development. The GPT Builder program, initiated in November, has seen over 3 million user-generated bots, prompting OpenAI to showcase useful ones weekly within the store.

Initially available to subscribers of OpenAI's paid tiers, the GPT Store allows individuals to publicly share their personalized versions of ChatGPT. OpenAI plans to implement a revenue-sharing program with GPT creators in the first quarter of the year, compensating builders based on user engagement with their chatbots.

The introduction of ChatGPT Team, a paid version tailored for smaller teams (around 150 people), complements the GPT Store rollout, offering access to GPT-4, DALL-E 3, OpenAI's Advanced Data Analysis feature, and custom GPT creation for team-specific needs.
