Yango begins testing the Yango Spark media service for the MENA region

The company launched a beta version of the Yango Spark app for the Middle East and North Africa market. The service has sections with movies and TV series, music and mini-games.

Yango Spark supports English and Arabic. The app works in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait. The app has an Arabic-speaking AI assistant called Yasmina, which the Yango team introduced in October 2023.

In October 2023, Yandex's international division Yango said it would open an international operations office in Dubai in the fourth quarter. In November, the company launched Yango Maps in the city. The Yandex Go service has been operating there since 2022.
