YouTube is making moves in the gaming space by introducing a "Playables" feature exclusively for Premium subscribers.

This move includes access to over 30 mini-games that users can play directly within the YouTube mobile or desktop app. The experimental feature, initially tested with select users in September, was recently expanded, with Premium members receiving notifications to explore these games.

The selection includes popular titles like Angry Birds Showdown and Brain Out, offering a diverse range of gaming experiences.

The games, known as "Playables," are available until March 28th, 2024, providing Premium subscribers with a limited-time gaming experience. To access the full library of games, users can navigate to the "Playables" section in the Explore tab.

YouTube Premium has been increasing its offerings, and Playables aim to provide an additional incentive for subscribers, potentially prolonging their engagement with the platform. YouTube's move follows other tech companies' attempts to expand into gaming, with mixed success.
