Musk revealed that Grok has "real-time access" to information and internet browsing capabilities, allowing it to provide up-to-date answers on various topics.

While specifics about Grok remain limited, Musk hinted at its capabilities and personality, suggesting it may have a sense of humor in its responses. He also noted that the chatbot may refuse to answer sensitive or inappropriate queries.

Initially, xAI planned to release Grok to a select group, but Musk later announced that all subscribers to X's Premium Plus plan will gain access to Grok once it exits the early beta phase.

xAI, founded by Musk with the goal of understanding the universe through AI, has kept its research projects relatively secretive. However, its partnership with Oracle for AI model training on the Oracle cloud hints at ambitious projects.

Musk's vision for "maximum-truth-seeking AI" and Grok's development reflect the growing importance of AI in his ventures, following his split from OpenAI. Musk resigned from OpenAI's board in 2018.
