Apple's recent shift toward USB-C technology has left many users wondering if the MagSafe Duo and Battery Pack accessories will ever make a comeback.

While Apple has not officially commented on the discontinuation of these accessories, tech enthusiasts and analysts are speculating about the possibility of USB-C versions making a return. Historically, Apple has released battery packs a few months after the launch of new iPhones, and the same approach could apply to USB-C versions of the MagSafe accessories.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman commented on the matter, saying that he expects USB-C versions of the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger to be available. However, he cautioned against an immediate release.

The MagSafe Battery Pack, released in July 2021, provided additional battery life for iPhone 12 and newer models. Priced at $99, it attached magnetically to the back of the iPhone and could be recharged using a Lightning cable. The MagSafe Duo, launched in December 2020, was a foldable charging mat that accommodated iPhones and Apple Watch charging.
