WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature that allows users to initiate chats with unknown individuals without saving their phone numbers in their address book.

This feature simplifies the process of starting conversations and offers enhanced privacy options. Previously, users faced limitations when attempting to chat with someone on WhatsApp without first saving their contact information.

It is now available to users who have updated to the latest versions of WhatsApp on both iOS and Android platforms.

To take advantage of the new feature, users can start sending a message in the usual way. By clicking on the new message button on the home screen (top right for Apple devices and bottom right for Android devices) and entering a phone number in the search bar, it will appear in the "Not in Contacts" category. Next to the person's number and profile photo, a "chat" option will be displayed, which instantly opens a conversation with the unsaved contact.
