A new radio experience is being introduced by YouTube Music which enables users to generate their personalized stations.

Before the introduction of this feature, users were only able to begin their music listening experiences by selecting from pre-existing playlists, radios or albums. However, with the new feature, users can now create their own radios entirely from scratch.

The new feature allows users to select up to 30 artists when creating their own radio station. Users can also determine how frequently each artist appears on the station and apply filters that can alter the overall mood of the radio. Users have the option to choose whether the radio only includes the selected artists or if it should also include content from a wider range of similar artists. Additionally, users can further refine their results by applying specific filters such as "new discoveries" or "chill songs."

Most music streaming services, like Spotify and Apple Music, provide radio options to create playlists based on a song or artist, but lack further customization. In contrast, YouTube Music's revamped radio feature enables users to build their own radio stations by combining key music elements such as artists and music descriptors. This approach grants users greater control over their music experiences and allows them to organize their music in novel ways.

The feature can be found by scrolling down on the YouTube Music homepage under "Your music tuner" and is available to all free and paid users on iOS and Android in countries where YouTube Music is offered.
