YouTube plans to launch a streaming services marketplace. Users will be able to subscribe to streaming platforms in the video hosting app. The project has a working title of Channel Store, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The company has been working on the project for at least 18 months, and the Channel Store could launch this fall. Initially, it will only be available in the US, but the shop will open in other countries in the future.

The platform is currently in talks with streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Roku and Apple TV, among others. In addition, YouTube TV subscribers can already bundle HBO Max channels for $64.99.

YouTube is discussing the possibility of sharing subscription revenue with companies that traditionally receive a share of revenue from purchases on their marketplaces, but the terms of revenue sharing between YouTube and streaming platforms "may vary widely for each partner."
