You Can Now Play Tetris and DOOM in a PDF

Classic retro games Tetris and DOOM have been ported into fully playable PDF files.

As reported by Tom’s Hardware, security analyst Thomas Rinsma created a PDF-based version of Tetris called Pdftris. The game runs directly in any modern browser—just open this PDF link, and it will launch in a new tab.

Pdftris features a classic black-and-white design with controls available via on-screen buttons or by typing WASD into a designated text field.

Additionally, DOOM has also been ported to a PDF, which can be launched from this link. However, it only works in Chromium-based browsers.

DOOM holds the record for most unusual ports, having previously been played in Telegram, ATMs, calculators, an adult toy, and even a living E. coli bacterium.
