It appears that Musk intends to diversify the X Premium paid service by introducing different tiers, one of which will provide users with an ad-free experience.

The X Premium service was previously called Twitter Blue, and subscribers currently enjoy exclusive features such as customizing the app icon, post editing capabilities, text formatting, longer posts and videos, and access to X Pro (formerly TweetDeck). While X Premium subscribers currently experience fewer ads in their timelines compared to non-subscribers, Musk plans to offer an option for completely ad-free usage.

Researcher Aaron recently uncovered code in the latest version of the X app, revealing the existence of three new X Premium tiers: Basic, Standard, and Plus. The Basic tier will continue to display regular ads to users. The Standard tier will show fewer ads, while the Plus tier will eliminate ads entirely.

As of now, X Premium is priced at $8 per month or $84 per year. However, when subscribing via the X app on iOS or Android, the price increases to $11 per month and $115 per year due to the 30% commission charged by the App Store and Google Play Store.

Exact pricing for the new tiers and the process of shifting existing subscribers to these tiers remains unclear at this time.
