Sales of the iPhone 14 smartphone, unveiled on September 7 during Apple's big presentation, started today all over the world. Once again the demand for the new product exceeds all expectations and the stock of smartphones on shop shelves is rapidly running out.

This has already been taken advantage of by speculators in China. According to MyDrivers, they have started offering the devices at a huge markup. One of the resellers even arranged an entire suitcase of the new iPhone 14 next to the Apple shop at an inflated price of one and a half times. The markup ranges from 2,000 yuan to 4,000 yuan. ($250 to $550).

MyDrivers suggests that the speculator has around 30 new gadgets in the case, each of which costs at least 7,999 yuan (approximately $1,200). Thus, the total content of the case can be estimated at around 240,000 yuan (around $34,000). That's without taking into account the fact that the smartphones are sold at a markup.

In Dubai, some customers queued all night, sleeping in their cars.

The place of attraction was the Dubai Mall, where Apple superfans go every year to buy the latest iPhone.

At the moment, all versions of the iPhone 14 are on sale worldwide, except for the iPhone Plus - it won't arrive on the shelves until October.
