Threads tests 24-hour disappearing posts feature

Threads is experimenting with a new feature that allows posts to automatically disappear after 24 hours, similar to Instagram Stories.

This new feature, currently being tested with a small group of users, provides a casual way to share content that might not need to remain on the platform permanently. The posts, along with any replies, will vanish after the set time.

If fully implemented, Threads could become one of the few social networks to offer this ephemeral posting option.
