The company has dared to consider the possibility of making the Ark wider and adding 8K technology.

Samsung has released a new version of its Odyssey Neo G9 monitor, which boasts an even larger, 57-inch "super ultra-wide curved display" using Mini LED technology. The original Odyssey Neo G9, a 49-inch display, was released in 2021 and received praise for its "magnetic" presence and ability to create a "virtual reality" experience. The new version is being unveiled at the CES conference.

AMD recently revealed the first 8K ultrawide monitor, called the Odyssey Neo G9, which boasts a resolution of 7680 by 2160 and a 32:9 aspect ratio. However, it should be noted that this resolution is not equivalent to the 8K UHDTV standard, which has a resolution of 7680 by 4320. Instead, the Neo G9 has the same horizontal resolution as the 8K standard, but paired with the vertical resolution of a 4K display. While the Neo G9 has double the number of pixels as a traditional 4K display, many details about the monitor, including its price and specific features, have not yet been revealed by Samsung.

The Neo G9 is set to launch later this year and will have a 240Hz refresh rate and a matte screen coating, but it is unclear if it will have additional features such as Multi View mode or a range of input ports.
