CES 2025 is full of futuristic tech, and TCL’s Ai Me is among the most intriguing. Marketed as the world’s first modular AI companion robot, it combines home assistant features with an adorable, owl-like design. With expressive digital eyes and a detachable base, Ai Me is built to move, observe, and assist.
This AI-powered bot is more than just a novelty. It comes equipped with cameras and sensors to recognize objects, record videos, and navigate spaces autonomously when paired with a motorized chair. It doubles as a home security device, monitoring surroundings while everyone sleeps and integrating with smart home systems to control lighting and appliances. Using AI vision, Ai Me can describe what it sees, answer questions, and even help with daily tasks.
Beyond functionality, Ai Me is designed to be interactive. It can capture family moments, generate personalized video reels, and project bedtime animations for kids. TCL has hinted at customizable outfits, making it more of a companion than just a smart gadget. The modular design also allows it to be paired with smart cars, letting it take over infotainment controls and provide hands-free assistance while on the road.
However, don’t expect to bring one home just yet. Ai Me is still in the concept stage, with no official release date. TCL showcased a working prototype at CES 2025 but has not confirmed mass production. If it moves forward, Ai Me could redefine AI home assistants, merging utility with personality in a way few devices have before.
