Startup Solos has introduced its innovative smart glasses, AirGo Vision, equipped with integrated GPT-4o capabilities.
These glasses can recognize faces, text, and objects, translate speech in real time, and provide navigation to nearby points of interest. They also sync with popular AI platforms like Gemini and Claude.
AirGo Vision comes in seven color options and offers two types of interchangeable smart frames. For privacy-conscious users, frames without built-in cameras are available. Touch sensors on the arms allow users to control the volume of the voice assistant.
Pricing starts at $299. Frames without prescription lenses cost $149, while a privacy-focused frame without a camera is priced at $349.
Developed by engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), AirGo Vision was first announced in June 2024. These glasses are poised to compete with similar devices like the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses (classified as an extremist organization), launched in 2023 at a comparable price point.
