Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said he doubts that the superhero action game Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games will ever be released on PC, despite the existence of a working prototype.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it never came to PC, but even if it does you have a strong idea of what that is and that you need a PlayStation to play it at least for the indefinite future."
According to him, PlayStation’s strategy is now shifting toward releasing only live-service titles on PC, while the company is expected to stop porting “exclusive console stuff like traditional single-player stuff on PC.” On the ResetEra forum, Schreier clarified that this is based on information from reliable sources, not speculation.
As a reason for the potential shift, Schreier pointed to the relatively weak performance of Sony’s PC game releases.
"And I don't think it was that successful in the first place. So I don't know. It doesn't seem like it's going to be that big of a blow."
