The Telegram channel Heritage has conducted a week-long monitoring of Pavel Durov's activity on the messenger, made possible after the Telegram founder enabled the "Last Seen & Online" status for all Premium users on his main account.
Over the 7-day observation period, Durov spent a total of 1 day, 1 hour, and 43 minutes inside the app. The average came out to roughly 3 hours and 40 minutes per day. On his most active day, Durov was online for 5 hours and 42 minutes.
During the same week, he opened Telegram 583 times, averaging 83 sessions per day. The longest uninterrupted session lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes.
At night, the messenger remained closed for an average of 10 hours and 11 minutes. The longest single offline stretch reached nearly 14 hours and 58 minutes.
The figures sit awkwardly next to Durov's own public position on digital habits. He has repeatedly said he doesn't carry a phone because it pulls his attention away from real work, and has argued that short videos slowly rot the brain. Spending close to four hours a day inside his own app suggests the rule may have at least one exception.
