Nike Introduced Its First Sneaker NFT Collection

Nike and RTFKT have officially unveiled the Nike CryptoKicks project, which they say is "the future of sneakers". It was based on the Dunk Low silhouette.

The silhouette has undergone significant changes, it became futuristic thanks to a series of metal details and a heavily modified sole unit.

The paneling has also been changed, replaced by screens for further modification. Changes are made via Skin Vials, a feature that allows to change the look of the Nike Dunk Genesis as well as any "compatible sneaker." Nike mentions that "thousands of skins" can be applied to a single pair using exclusive skins designed by renowned artists and community.

Nike CryptoKicks will start with the EVO X, a collection of eight different skins that can be developed with various enhancements and abilities.

The fact that Nike was preparing to enter the metaverse was known back in November of last year.
