LG is launching an NFT marketplace, called LG Art Lab, that will let users buy, sell and enjoy high-quality digital artwork from a TV.

Few months after Samsung announced that it’s bringing NFTs to its TVs, LG has followed suit. For now, only users in the US with an LG TV that runs webOS 5.0 or later can access the app, which is available to download from the TV’s home screen.

Digital works made available through LG’s NFT drops can be bought and sold through the portal. The first set will be dropped on September 22 and will feature a set of metallic-looking NFTs from sculptor Barry X Ball.

The Verge reports that currently the app looks quite empty and there are no any NFTs that can be bought right now. Later, LG says users will be able to scan the QR code that appears on the screen, and then open the Wallypto app to complete the transaction.

The Korean company plans to add new NFTs every month.

Just like Samsung’s doing with the NFTs on its TVs, it looks like LG is hoping users will display the NFTs on their TV when it’s not in use.
