Kitmytrip, the company specialising in digital travel services, has partnered with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) to have Dubai as the Founding Partner City on the Alike.io platform. It allows its travel content makers to create personal studios that enable them to publish their content and generate revenue on bookings, that are made as a result of their content.

Travel content makers are the main influence on leisure travel bookings, at a time when people like to share travel-related content, as 60% (97% of millennial travellers) share their trip details on social media, and this content helps others decide their next destination. 86% of users showing interest in a place after viewing content about it created by a travel content creator.

Ashish Sidra, co-founder of Alike.io, said, “No platform rewards content creators for bookings made as a result of the impact of their content. With the launch of Alike.io, we aim to offer tens of thousands of bookable travel experiences and give travel content makers a share of the revenue from bookings made through the travel experiences they have lived and shared on our platform.”

With the launch of the Alike.io platform, Dubai residents and visitors from all over the world can now share their best moments and favourite memories of the city in the form of travel stories with bookable options, enabling tourists planning their next trip to Dubai to choose the variants closest to what they are looking for and book it on the platform. The content maker receives a share of the booking profits from every booking made through the content creator's trip story.

Alike.io will continue to release more innovative features in the coming months, in addition to launching its product in several cities around the world in stages. While the first phase will include launching in some cities of Europe and the Middle East.
