Well-known insider Sonny Dickson has shared what is described as the final design of Apple's upcoming foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra.

The published mockup is highly detailed and shows a finished, polished version of the device. According to Dickson, this is the variant expected to enter mass production.

The inner display features a front camera placed in a circular cutout in the top-left corner. Apple has reportedly dropped Face ID from this model entirely. The chassis turned out to be too thin to accommodate the depth sensors required for the system, with a fingerprint scanner integrated into the side button serving as the replacement.

According to Dickson, all of the existing mockups exist exclusively in white. There is a possibility that Apple will release the iPhone Ultra in only one color, although this has not been officially confirmed.

Earlier, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the device is expected to cost around $2,000. The price tag is driven primarily by two elements. The first is a reinforced liquid-metal hinge designed for long-term durability. The second is a display engineered to minimize the visible crease that has been a persistent issue across foldable smartphones from other manufacturers.

The iPhone Ultra is expected to be unveiled alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro lineup at Apple's September 2026 event.
