The design of the Sennheiser IE 200 wired headphones prioritizes a neutral sound.

If you want wired in-ear headphones in 2023, you have a choice: you can get a pair with cables that go straight down, or you can go for a more stylish option like Sennheiser's IE 200 earbuds. These earbuds, which retail for $149.99, feature wires that go up and behind the ears, giving you the appearance of a musician on stage at a festival like Glastonbury.

Despite being at the lower end of Sennheiser's IE range (which goes up to a pricey $1,499.95), the IE 200 boasts the same 7mm "extra-wide band" transducers as its more expensive counterparts. According to Sennheiser, these transducers deliver "superbly balanced and realistic audio" and a "natural frequency response curve typically found in earphones costing significantly more."

Sennheiser has released its new IE 200 headphones, which will be available for purchase starting January 31. These headphones feature a variety of ear tips made from both foam and silicone that can be placed in one of two positions to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.

They also have detachable cables, which allows for easy replacement when the wires become worn over time. The cables do not have an in-line remote, as this can negatively impact the sound quality of wired headphones. According to Sennheiser's audiophile product manager, Jermo Koehnke, the IE 200 headphones offer "balanced, true-to-life audio reproduction" that allows users to hear all the details of their music.
