Claude may add a Money tab for linking bank accounts

Anthropic appears to be developing Claude Money, a personal finance feature that would let users connect bank accounts to Claude and ask the AI assistant about spending and financial plans.

TestingCatalog found the unreleased feature in Claude’s iOS app. Screenshots show a Money tab and an onboarding page titled “Understand your money with Claude.” The page invites users to link their bank accounts and ask about “spending, plans, and more.”

A direct account connection would remove the need to upload bank statements manually. If the feature works as the interface suggests, Claude could use transaction data to analyze spending, summarize balances, find recurring payments, track changes and help users prepare a budget. These capabilities are possible use cases, not confirmed features.

OpenAI already offers a similar product called ChatGPT Finances. Official OpenAI documentation says it can review spending, savings, balances, upcoming bills and subscriptions using connected financial accounts. Access is read-only, so ChatGPT cannot transfer money, pay bills, trade securities or change account settings.

The Claude Money discovery comes as Anthropic expands further into financial services. On September 14, the company launched Claude for Financial Advisors, a separate enterprise product that connects Claude with portfolio, planning and client-management platforms.

Anthropic has not announced Claude Money. Its launch date, supported countries and banks, data provider, access permissions and privacy protections remain unknown.
