Emirati Company Joins Initiative to Develop World's Most Energy-Efficient Air Conditioners

Energy consumption of space cooling systems in the Middle East has increased five-fold from 1990 to 2016. Climate change is causing temperatures in the Middle East to rise to record levels. This has an impact on greenhouse gas emissions.

To combat greenhouse gas emissions, UAE-based Strata Manufacturing has partnered with German AI engineering platform developer Hyperganic and 3D printing company EOS to create the world's most energy-efficient air conditioners.

The joint project will use Hyperganic's algorithmic engineering, which develops heat exchangers based on physical principles of nature. Together, the companies will develop a system that is ten times more energy-efficient than all existing models.

The project is expected to be presented at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change during COP28 in the UAE, which will be held at Expo City in Dubai in 2023.
