Twitter CEO Elon Musk has shared slides from his corporate appearance at Twitter. He is preparing a global update of the social network called Twitter 2.0.
The charts on the slides from the presentation show that as of November 16, the number of followers reached an average of 2 million per day over seven days, a 66% increase over the same week a year earlier. The average number of active user minutes over the seven days reached 8 billion per day, an increase of 30% over a year earlier.
According to another graph, the number of hate incidents is down slightly from the previous year, despite the fact that it rose sharply around the time Musk took over the company.
As for new features, Twitter 2.0 will include the ability to publish long tweets, as well as a redesign of video content on the platform, as well as the addition of interactive advertising, a new payment system and a relaunch of Blue's paid subscription service.
One of the main innovations will be encrypted private messages, which Twitter will be helped to develop by Signal messenger creator Moxie Marlinspike.
Elon Musk also predicted that as a result of all the changes, the number of Twitter users will exceed one billion a month by 2024.
